Vision & Values
Our desire for this shop is to share both the wonderful items being made and the people who make them. We’re lifelong learners who make time to make something. We’re also supporters of The Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, John C. Campbell Folk School, and Penland School of Crafts.
We want to give the young and young-at-heart a chance to discover how satisfying it is to make something by hand. We strongly encourage everyone to find their own creative voice in their own time and way.
Our retail business supports our Discovery Studio. We go around to festivals, fairs, and even various “hollers” to find cool stuff to share with you. We make stuff in the store too, including letterpress, metalwork, and quilting.
In other words, our store and studio coexist. Hopefully, we’ll get a chance to teach you something new, or at the very least, help you find a place to learn.
In short, we make lots of cool stuff and invite our customers to do the same.
